Installers are being encouraged join with Graham Plumbers’ Merchant in taking part in this year’s Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) Day, an annual event introduced by parent company Saint-Gobain to promote wellbeing among colleagues and customers.
The EHS Day will be taking part in branches across the UK today (9th October) and will focus on three main areas: health and wellbeing, safety, and the environment.
Graham has also encouraged its branches & offices to host healthy breakfast and lunch days, so customers and colleagues can interact about the importance of well-being. Some branches will also be bringing in exercise equipment or playing fitness based games.
To focus on the environment, branches are being encouraged to track their energy use, wastage and recycling. The branches that save the most energy and recycle the most will be rewarded with a prize.
Phil Whitehouse, National Health, Safety and Wellbeing Manager at Graham, says: “The EHS Day’s we’ve done previously have always been hugely successful. Every year, we look to see how we can continue to raise awareness for the betterment of the mental and physical health of our colleagues and customers. We use these days not only as a one-off 24 hours for our branches to engage in wellbeing and safety, but as means to focus on raising awareness and put new steps in place to make sure we are constantly practicing wellbeing all year round.”
