FIRE CONVERSION KIT

Monday Mar 8

Robinson Willey has introduced a High Efficiency Conversion Kit specifically designed for its Firegem Vista 2 range of radiant! convector gas fires.

The company is targeting some 2 million pre-1996 Firegem Visa 2 models manufactured without an Oxygen Depletion Sensor (ODS).

Installation of the kit will provide full protection against flame failure, blocked flues and inadequate ventilation for this generation of fires. It will also enable compliance with the latest gas safety regulations.

In addition to enhanced safety, the Conversion Kit will also upgrade the energy efficiency of these fires, due to a new burner system that delivers up to 89% energy efficiency and a heat output of 4.8kw.

The Conversion Kit is also suitable for post 1996 Firegem Visa 2 models that already include ODS, but which simply require an upgrade in efficiency to the latest cost-effective standards. No aesthetic changes are made to the fire.

Said to be simple to install, the kit comprises a complete replacement firebox/burner assembly with spindle, bezel and inlet tube clamp. It is exclusively available through the RW Heat Exchange Scheme policy that seeks to support cost effective solutions to fuel poverty, carbon reductions and running costs.

The RW Heat Exchange Scheme includes the preferential supply of a Firegem Visa 2 gas fire at competitive prices to assist qualifying Housing Associations or Local Authorities.
