HOW TO CAPTURE DIRT

Friday Jul 6

Dirtmag from Altecnic is said to extend the expected lifespan of a heating system by up to 30%. The device is simple to service because of its external removable magnetic belt. The belt simply unclips, allowing damaging magnetic and non-magnetic sludge to be drained in less than five seconds, leaving a completely clean, clear and energy efficient system that does not need to be shut down to be serviced.

The external magnet belt pulls the metallic particles against the sides of the chamber, trapping and safely storing them from system components. The design of the body creates an area of low pressure just above the filter chamber, reducing flow velocity and allowing all particles both metallic and non-metallic to easily drop out of suspension. Once flushed, the belt simply clicks back on and the cleaning process starts again.

Technical Director Gary Perry says: “Dirtmag is a fantastic way for plumbers to generate regular business by allowing them to physically demonstrate to customers the debris it removes for a longer’ lasting heating system.”
