PUBLICATION
BACKGROUND
Currently in its 50th year, PLUMBING, HEATING & AIR MOVEMENT NEWS more commonly known as PHAM News, is widely regarded as the leading technical publication serving the domestic and light commercial sectors of the industry.
Originally launched in 1963 as Plumbing & Heating Engineer, the magazine experienced one or two title changes until November 1996 when it was acquired by new and current owners Pinede Publishing and given its present title.
The main objective since then has been to establish PHAM News as the industry’s preferred publication for news and information, whether the reader is a plumber, heating installer, merchant, distributor, manufacturer or specifier. To achieve this the publication has been editorially led, providing the readership with a balanced mix of information from brief industry news items to more detailed generic articles.
WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT?
A recent reader survey showed that PHAM News is considered to be an essential monthly read. We like to think that with the knowledge and experience of the team involved in producing the publication, the 70-80 tabloid pages published each month will help our readers keep pace with the fast moving and constantly changing market in which they operate.
Each month PHAM News covers 3 different product features in depth and depending upon the subject, certain topics can be 20-25 pages in length. From feedback received it would appear that many readers retain these features for future reference particularly as they include technical articles written by experts in the field. Whilst these product features change each month, there are several regular columns that readers enjoy reading including:
- News Report
- Industry Perspective
- Training Update
- Health & Safety
- Rules & Regs
- Professional’s Choice
- Technical Tips
- What’s New to name but a few.
Combined with all the latest industry news, reader competitions and exclusive reader offers, PHAM News is most definitely an essential monthly read for those professionals who wish to stay ahead in their industry.
