Bathroom design competition open for entries

Ageless Design is the theme of the Bathroom Manufacturers Association competition as it looks to raise awareness of inclusive design and share best practice.

The competition is open to any bathroom retailer, architect or designer. There are three categories to enter for a full bathroom, cloakroom and ensuite.

Entrants will be required to design the room in accordance with all relevant regulations, using products available from BMA members, with CE marked and Unified Water Label products as appropriate.

The winners will be announced at the 2019 Bathroom & Kitchen Business Conference, which takes place on the8th October at the Carden Park Hotel, Cheshire. The winner in each category will receive a trophy and a certificate, with a £1000 cash prize for the overall winner.

BMA CEO Yvonne Orgill says: “We want to encourage designers to create bathrooms that are beautiful and functional, ensuring that the room meets the needs of all the family, regardless of age or ability.

“We have an ageing population and more families are living together with multi generations in one home. The modern bathroom has to deliver a space that works for all, ensuring that all those that use the room can wash and undertake personal hygiene with ease and enjoyment.”

Details and entry forms are available from the BMA website now and the closing date for entries is 30 August.
