EDF has teamed up with Ideal Heating to offer a heat pump bundle that helps customers switch from gas to electric heating. The Heat Pump and Power Tracker bundle includes “free electricity” throughout December 2025, a 7-year warranty, and a service package worth over £1,500.
Available until 31st December 2024, customers who sign-up to the offer and opt to switch their properties entirely away from gas could then benefit from zero energy bills during December 2025. Customers will also benefit from a free 7-year warranty, servicing, and maintenance package worth £1,150[1] upon install.
On top of these savings, the 3-year Heat Pump and Power Tracker tariff also offers six hours of discounted zero carbon electricity every day, all year round, saving at least £404 against Standard Variable prices.
“It’s great to see a growing interest among households in switching from inefficient, fossil fuel-based heating to zero carbon alternatives,” says Philippe Commaret, MD of customers at EDF. “However, we recognise challenges, such as cost, still exist. By working closely with Ideal Heating on our Heat Pump and Power Tracker tariff bundle, we hope to support more customers with installing sustainable, energy-efficient solutions, and in doing so, enable them to achieve significant cash and carbon savings.”
Mark Derbyshire, MD (sales and marketing) at Ideal Heating, adds: “We are thrilled to be working with EDF. By combining our innovative heat pump technology with EDF’s extensive reach and resources, we aim to provide customers with heating solutions that are better for the environment and can also save on energy costs. Plus, our heat pumps are backed up by guaranteed peace of mind, thanks to our warranty packages. This partnership will significantly contribute to reducing carbon footprints and promoting energy efficiency.”
The tariff will offer two off-peak windows from 4am – 7am and 1pm – 4pm and customers who shift their consumption household consumption could save even more on bills, without the worry of any premium peak rates. There’s also the assurance of no exit fees or tie-ins.
