Elco Heating Solutions has launched the new Trigon XL range of floor standing gas condensing boilers.

Available in seven different models with outputs from 150-570kW, the Trigon XL range offers a wealth of benefits, including: ultra-low NOx emissions complying with class 6 (2018) requirements, an 8 bar working pressure, 30K flow/return temperature differential, superb seasonal efficiencies and an ultra- compact footprint.

The boiler’s low NOx emissions are achieved by utilising a commercially proven premix-burner system, which includes a fully modulating, water cooled cold flame burner. This is combined with an optimised combustion system and stainless steel heat exchanger to provide a reliable and robust lifetime performance – while also offering gross seasonal efficiencies up to 97.5%.

With an 8 bar maximum working pressure, Trigon XL is also compatible with higher buildings without the need for hydraulic system separation. Further bolstering its credentials, a 30K flow/return temperature differential allows easier integration with district heating systems while maintaining optimum efficiency.

Trigon XL has also been designed to make commercial installations straightforward. Firstly, all models are designed to pass through standard 760mm wide doors, while factory fitted cargo wheels allow the boiler to be easily manoeuvred into its final position. Secondly, for applications where access is restricted, such as rooftop plant rooms, the Trigon XL range has a modular assembly – allowing a boiler to be dismantled and reassembled in half a working day.

The inspection glass and ignition electrode can be fitted on either side of the unit, allowing flexible boiler configurations and positioning on site. In addition, commissioning and installer access is made simple, thanks to an integrated flue gas damper and rear flue connection, as well as a clear text display with integrated master-slave cascade functionality (for up to 8 boilers). Furthermore, upgradable control module capacity provides straightforward connections for additional heating zones, solar system or external heat sources.

Finally, a carefully engineered hydroforming process fixes the cooling tubes inside the Trigon XL’s sidewalls, providing the highest possible thermal conductivity. A laser welded fin tube also minimises heat losses though the heat exchanger surface.

Commenting on the new model, Gavin Watson, Sales Director for Elco Heating Solutions, says: “The Trigon XL is a really exciting addition to the Elco range of floor standing boilers. Its completely new design, which incorporates the finest engineering and components, offers unrivalled levels of power and performance. This boiler range has really been designed for the future, so we’re sure specifiers and contractors will be keen to integrate it into their schemes.”
