Heat pumps in National Trust properties

As a supplier of renewable energy systems to National Trust properties, Stiebel Eltron’s latest project is for two historic farmhouses in Snowdonia. Stiebel Eltron worked with installer Ecosystems Wales, which has previous experience of National Trust work, to supply a new WPF17 SET ground source heat pump system for Hafod y Llan farmhouse at the foot of Snowden. The 18th century home is being converted into a holiday home by the National Trust. It was previously heated by an oil boiler.

Also installed were two air source heat pumps at the National Trust Llyndu farmhouse and flat, just one mile away from the Hafod y Llan property. The WPL 25 heat pumps have replaced the previous oil boiler and will provide energy-efficient heating for the property, which is home to young farmers taking part in the National Trust farming scholarship programme.
