Colleges and training centres can now take advantage of a range of resources developed by Salamander Pumps, to support their students as they return to the learning environment.
Part of the Salamander e-School, the resources include courses on both mains boosting (HomeBoost and Accuboost accumulators) and gravity-fed systems, which tie in to the current curriculum. These courses can be provided in a format, such as SCORM files, that will sit on an individual College’s Learning Platform or Moodle site, which is used by teachers to track a learner’s progress. It also allows them to be used either in college or remotely.
In addition to the courses, Salamander is also hosting digital classes with their Training Manager, Ken Vance. The classes will feature presentations and Q&As with students on Microsoft Teams and Zoom.
Salamander has also created a range of easy-to-follow animations that provide clear and easy-to-digest guidance and training, and can also be supported with a range of literature in the form of brochures and specification mats.
Ken Vance, training manager at Salamander, comments: “We are aware that travelling from college to college delivering training is simply not safe or feasible at the moment, however we really wanted to ensure our training support wasn’t affected during this pandemic. With students now returning to college, the range of resources we’ve put in place should ensure they are given the support and training they need in order to continue their learning as normal.”
