This feature minimises noise, ensuring that night-time visits to the toilet don’t disturb other family members or neighbours, especially for those who live in a flat. It is available on all new Meda and Kartell wall-hung and floor-standing WCs.
“Considering the noise level of the flush might not be top of your list when choosing a new toilet,” says Emma Mottram, Laufen brand marketing manager. “But it’s surprising how loud a flush can sound in the middle of the night. With Silent Flush, this is no longer a problem. And as you would expect from Laufen, Silent Flush is also very efficient.”
Silent Flush operates by spiralling water powerfully yet quietly through the toilet bowl. This is possible due to the shape of the inside of the rimless WC which guides the water along an optimised path. This creates a vortex that cleans the toilet, efficiently using minimal water. As a result, the technology is not just quiet, it is hygienic and helps to save water too.
