South East-based developer Riverdale Developments has completed a new scheme of 10 high-specification, energy-efficient homes using Baxi’s HP-50 Monobloc air source heat pumps. The homes, which feature a mix of three, four and five-bedroom properties, use a combination of UFH and radiators. Jackson Plumbing & Heating Ltd., the appointed contractor, selected Baxi based on previous successful collaborations.
Each property was fitted with the HP-50 Monobloc unit and a compatible hot water cylinder. Baxi supported the project throughout, with specification manager Matthew Swatridge providing technical guidance from design through to installation. Ahead of the work, Baxi hosted a meeting with Jackson Plumbing & Heating, the electrical contractor, and Riverdale to review the technology and coordinate system integration.
Baxi also handled the heating system design, working with underfloor heating suppliers, and later provided assisted commissioning to ensure systems were set up correctly. The company’s aftersales support, warranty offer and nationwide engineer network were key factors in the decision. With heat pumps still relatively new to many homeowners, ongoing support is seen as essential to help ensure correct usage, energy efficiency and long-term performance.
