LG Electronics has recently achieved the Quiet Mark accreditation for its air to water heat pump – the Therma V Monobloc ‘S’.

Quiet Mark is the independent global certification programme, associated with the UK Noise Abatement Society charitable foundation, that identifies the quietest products in a category and provides reliable and independent information about the sound a product makes.

LG says this award for its Therma V Monobloc ‘S’ confirms that it is one of the quietest, and most technically effective products in noise reduction or acoustic properties available on the market in its category.

This new ‘S’ version set record sales figures in 2022 as more housebuilders and developers, local authorities and social housing providers moved to use renewable options in their new build homes and begin the process of replacing gas boilers with an option that future proofs their new and existing homes in the years ahead.

The LG R32 Monobloc ‘S’ air to water heat pump range is said to offer lower noise levels per unit by up to 3dB(A) compared to the previous model, and includes an integral Compressor Noise Shield which is a key feature across the full line up.

Low noise and high performance is achieved by adopting BLDC inverter  motor technology and an improved fan and orifice.

The unit comes with a Seasonal Coefficient of Performance of up to 4.67 (Average climate/Low temperature application) and a A+++ rating. The COP rises to 4.9 (Outdoor air 7°C/Leaving water temperature 35°C) and can deliver leaving water temperature of 65°C if required.

The models that have achieved the Quiet Mark accreditation are the 5, 7, 9 and 12kW models in single phase as well as the newb 9 & 12kW three phase models.
